I was in a charity shop yesterday
I found a Michelin map of Alpes Haute Provence - which covers the Verdon Gorge and Castellane areas
The map was 99p
I think that map will be the cheapest part of the trip in 2027

Excellent. Love it when folks finally do their first foray in Alps/Dolomites/Pyrenees. Little compares.
Add in the ‘freedom’ of not having a UK registered bike, on UK ‘monitored’ roads. Icing on the cake.

travelling to scenic places is good for the soul and your mental well being.

Its addictive and if i didnt have to keep returning to work i would travel all year round.
Sadly i quickly run out of holidays. Roll on retirement so i can fit more in.

I'm lucky I have a business I can shut down for extended periods - last year we took the GS to 14 different countries over 4 months. I spend my money on travel and have a massive bank of memories, not a house full of crap and a £25K bike. Well, it works for me...

Wow…sounds amazing. Would love to know what you do for a living…i have around 7-8 weeks holiday a year and normally 3 weeks is reserved for bike trips.. This year I have taken 4 weeks.
