Hi all, here is the next `work of art` - a member asked if I could do a better job that the width adjustable Touratw*t rack so I have tried and here it is. No idea about price at this time but its stainless (naturally), 2mm thick & polished, made very well and made with love like all the stuff I do. It attaches to the standard rack and simply extendeds widthwise to give greater support to the load. I hope to be taking it on its first trial at the East Midlands Bash if anyone wants a closer look.

:D

Best regards, see you at East Midlands if you are going and Dave you can`t have one :D

I dropped into oceans the other day looking for something new:augie
and when they came out and saw all my bling from you back, front and shiny side plates it was commented on (All good):thumb
there was a bloke on here that made like a spacer bar that fitted under the rear and stopped the vario panniers bouncing and putting strain on the fixings , anything from your department mark:thumb2
secondly cockpit covers and the cover plate in stainless:bow now that would be bling  keep it coming mate

Rabbitson - ha, funny, never thought about the beer cans!

Stevie Allen - ta for the kind words mate, it helps! What do you means by `cockpit cover`? I am happy to have a go at anything within my meagre abilities.

I think that's just about wide enough for BOTH cheeks for SWMBO...........:wife. oops

Forgot to mention (I think..............)

Thanks Guys, yes - it attaches to the original R1200GS rack using 4 stainless coach bolts which locate in slots on the rack to keep it running `true` when opening and closing.

The adjustable rack interfaces with the top of GS rack by way of specially machined stainless (naturally) adaptor bosses.

These bosses are also used underneath the GS rack and are held in place with 4 stainless (swoon, never had guessed) wingnuts so that the rack can be adjusted very easily.

And it`s horny but I guess I would say that....................... :D

Really nice one Mark. Very useful for those that go off-road, want to go light or just hasn't got pannier....:thumb2

What Stevie is trying to mention with 'cockpit cover'

will be probably what Touratech creates and can be seen either on this page:
http://www.touratech.com/shops/001/product_info.php?cPath=3_40_305&products_id=1130

or on this :
http://www.touratech.com/shops/001/product_info.php?cPath=3_40_305&products_id=1129

which both items are things that I am interested in....

Mmmmmm

Not sure guys, I am currently seperated from my beloved (2006 GS) so I don`t know till I get chance to take a closer look
