Hi Glenn
Fantic was Kev,s.....parts lad from Harrisons garage...lived on south terrace, thrashed the nuts off his ped every morning as he rode up abbey terrace :D :D just to make sure i was awake :blast

Seem to remember a fair few peds around at that time :rob ,
many a hour wasted drooling in Harry Watsons or through at Dowsons

......Then the super dreams/GT250 started :D :D

c90

come on lads get yourselfs a grip , why all them years ago wernt ewe all like sheep ,grazing on the same brand ? out to pastures new and look what happens

CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A REST

Now dickie on one, I was just thinking the same, listening to all the posts on here.these gs things must be crap as every bugger on here slags them off:rob Thinks might by a big old harley and chop the f--ker up and see if it go's round bends better:blast wadya think
The c90 is cool as out, but what about enfields we could join norm's sidepatch out- fit:clap

you can not ride a cb500t at 16. Having said that once 17 was reached it was a grand form of transport. vernon are you too fat to ride a gs and get a fkin brolly

FFS !!!!

I passed my test in 1965. on a 350 Royal Enfield Bullet, [with Enfield 250 number plates and tax disc on it :augie [ the 250cc Crusader had disintegrated it's Gearbox that morning:blast }

By the Afternoon I was riding Norton Dommi and afterwards an A10 Combo All LEGAL.

WHY Because STUPID Ped laws and Stupid 125cc @17 laws had not been thought of then !!
I Actually rode a 1000 cc Ariel Square 4 @ 16 years 2 months old and took a Panther 650cc outfit to Ilfracombe with 4 mates that summer on holiday:rob

ALL TOTALLY LEGAL !!!!

FYI I was 16 years and 3 weeks old when I passed my bike test:thumb2
17 years and 3 days old when I passed my car test :thumb2

O' the advantages of working in a garage in those days :D

first you can do a search on the dvla site to see if it's still registered
next you can pay a smallfee to the dvla or used to be able to find out the owner
there is a fs1es web site you may be able to find a contact on there

best of luck see if my old RD 250 is about NVH777P sold by terry sylvester of holmfirth
lambretta li 150 FSF36D
" LI 175 FHL16D
" GP 200 BWW20H

"Praise the lord and pass the AMMUNITION "

enabb do you remember the greasy daygo with 9" hips and mick jagger lips as well.
I endured a trip to scarborough and back on that fantic

tiger cross and rekord were exactly the same motor and electrics, running gear and frame

only differences were handlebars, tank and tool box and mudguards. ( and rear wheel dia )

very highly strung all of 'em - very fast in short bursts - then reset the points and change the plug.

FS1E - slightly slower and MUCH more reliable

Tiger Cross rooles tho' :thumb
