First one for 2014 - and Possu's Birthday

Happy New Year Everyone!

At our fabulous New Year's Eve party it came to light that we have some amazing bowling talent amongst us and the idea materialised that we should do it for real!

As our traditional meeting day Thursday 23rd January 2014 is also Possu's birthday, I thought we'd meet at the Bowlplex near the Kassam Stadium in Oxford, have a couple of games and then go for dinner.

To accommodate these plans, it would be great if we could gather at 19.00 hrs already so that we can eat at a reasonable time.

Please let me know if

1) You can attend
2) How many games you think is right (they take 45 minutes each, so I'm told)
3) Preference of cuisine (Frankie & Benny's - Italian, Aziz - Indian, Oxy Oriental - Chinese)

Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can book bowling and restaurant.

There is a slim chance I can join you towards the end of the night for a beer at least.

I am no expert but I did go bowling at Christmas time and learnt that they no longer make you wear their special fancy shoes.
Just a heads up really to make sure you wear or bring some suitable "flatties" for that part of the evening's entertainment. They won't let you do it barefoot or in stilettos. (Thats my plans scuppered)

Thanks for the advice on the choice of footwear, Patrick - I was already wondering that shoe hire prices were nowhere mentioned on the website...

Finally managed to get through to Frankie & Benny's this afternoon (they must be very popular, every time I tried so far the line was engaged...) - they don't have a table big enough to accommodate us all, but will make sure that we sit close together.
