It's for those who are "wide eyed and legless"!

Porsche never looked back after they added 2 cylinders 50 years ago

rode the KTM for three trips, including one 50 miles each way.... get back on the GS and have been kicking my shins on the cylinders multiple times.... odd how fast I got used to not doing that, then one week on a normal bike and can't help wonder why they are now in the way after 10 years of ownership

I think guzzi got it right just like a CX 500

Can you send a pic of yourself. Cos I'm curious I have never once 'shinned' myself on the beemer. Off-roading I'd understand, but in 'normal' use, I just can't see how you'd do it?

As for the extra cylinders, yea, sounds good. But one of the things I'm loving about the GS is it's ability to cover the miles with a shed load of crap attached to it. But strip all that off and you can have some fun at your destination. Which is precisely what I do when I go to Italy. Now if I could take off the two extra cylinders on arrival at my destination... Then you're into something

6 foot 3, 34" inside leg according to levi's - when I first got it ten years plus ago every time I stopped at lights I kicked the engine with both legs, hadn't done it in years, even when I spent the month on the vx800 no issues. Spent a week on the 1290 SAT and now back on the BM every stop, go to put feet down bang engine in the way.... the left is a gentle brush, the right being 1" further back is a proper hit

Well, I suggest you don't by this new version on offer .

But ok, long legs. I kinda get it now. I'm a tad over 5 11. So the bike is practically made for me - at least, that's how it feels
