Went out for a play in the lanes with Dansin today:

With all the wind and water, it's made the lanes pretty interesting, although still fun :bounce1

Heading along one of the more open lanes, pulling nicely in 3rd gear (40+ maybe?) one of the puddles turned out to be a bit deeper than I expected... next thing I know, front wheel is washed out from underneath me. 20 or so feet later, I finally come to a stop. Remarkably, both me and the HP came out unscathed. Although I managed to lose the zipper of the side of my trousers :blast

Was a good reminder of 2 things:

Always wear protection ;)
And if it rains a lot, there's a good chance puddles are deeper than they were last time you were there :D

Sound advice chap....particularly protection...

Had an off the other day whilst @ Bagshot enduro...over the handlebars I went on a descent....:blast...amen for full armour etc

+1 for wearing protection. Was out green laning with a bunch of ABR boys (who were all wearing armour) without any in Warwickshire last Saturday and came off my R1200GSA on a slippery track. During this off my ribcage was slammed into the handlebars. Pain is getting worse every day and I suspect that I have at least bruised several ribs. Visit quack tomorrow for proper diagnosis.
Chest armour has now been ordered (i know, horse, bolted, stable door).

Can confirm it was a pretty spectacular launching. All I saw was a big splash followed by a HP2 travelling upside down in mid air and Mav following close behind. Also upside down. :D

For me it also highlighted how easy it could be to get trapped under a bike if you're out alone. Thankfully Mav and machine landed separately but it could so easily have been a different outcome.

Must get out again - but when its a bit drier. :thumb2 :rob
