So 240 miles into the Dales to finish off the running in phase.

It is hard not to compare it with the outgoing GSA so.....

On the A1 in strong wind it was not as cocooning but more than acceptable. I keep the screen on its low setting as I like the wind and there is less turbulence for a short arse like me. it is fine at good M way speeds stable and comfy.

The Vibe issue that keeps cropping up is really not that bad unless you go looking for them.

Once of the A1 it eclipses the GSA (for me) in every way except the ability to soak up bumps, The suspension is firm with a capital F but forgivable for the handling which is pin sharp in comparison and so rewarding. It feels to me at least more forgiving than the GSA when you get a little over enthusiastic and on wet roads in rain mode felt very secure ( not so in dynamic with a big handful out of a wet roundabout though and even then the traction control was smooth and predictable)

The way it gains speed is phenomenal and overtakes are done in the blink of an eye !

I could go on and on but its been done so i will just say that i have had a great day on it and have no regrets changing from the GSA

It certainly looks cool in white, glad you're liking it :)

FWIW I found the suspension on my 1190R harsh at first 'cos nothing soaks up bumps as well as a GS but once it had bedded in 1000 miles(ish) and after LOTS of piddling about with the settings it's now nearly as smooth but with far more control and feedback than a GS.
I eventually chucked a small amount of money K-Techs way for them to set it up properly for me, money well spent; maybe worth doing with the XR?

Andres

PS When's it booked in to Hilltop? ;)

Nice one, Rick. Just needs some HP bling now!:D

That could be pricey, as it's got ESA. I find mine more firm on the rougher stuff than my GSA, but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully it'll bed in like you say.:thumb

Ah, showing my ignorance there, didn't realise they were ESA. I guess it must be doable but as you say, a bit more pricey/less straight forward

How's the seat compared to the gsa is it ok

Not quite as comfortable. I did a 340 mile day a couple of weeks ago, and ached a bit afterwards, but not for long!:comfort:D

I've heard that the Airhawk is meant to be good though.

Got mine today, I'll be racking up some miles in the next few days.
Put the evotech rad guards on and a new key ring (a new bike ritual)
So far.........Awsome :thumby:

How's Dynamic Pro since the first service, Rick?:D

JB wants to know!:green gri

Sheer feckin lunacy is how it is !

TBH I doubt i will use that particular feature much as i like to get on the gas hard and early and Dynamic is just right at keeping the front wheel at a sensible height

I'd ditch the key ring, it scratches the black plastic trim and will look like a croc of shite within a week.

Its a nice soft leather one with a naked lady. But ill keep an eye on the black plastic.

Had the first service today and the 9000 rev limit removed. The dealer gave it back to me in dynamic mode and I didn't notice........jeez I was a bit surprised when I gave it the beans.

Yes it's quick, yes it's addictive, it just makes you do it officer and sorry yes I was going a bit quick. Oh and yes I have just got my first speeding fine and 3 points for over 10 years.

Any more and I may have to give in and get another GS
