Took her out for a little spin this afternoon, for a total of around 30 miles, 20miles on road, 10 of which motorway. 10 miles off road mainly loose gravel with a little bit of hard clay. what did I think? This was my first ride so my opinion might change. She's on a 2006 plate and got just over 16k on the clock so she's not run in yet ! :D

Ups.
1. Much lighter than I thought, easy to manoeuvre at slow speeds.
2. Nice and fast when you need it, very good throttle response.
3. Good up right riding position.
4. Gears felt solid and were easy to change.
5. Excellent road holding.

Downs.
1. Handle bars way too low, wasn't about to stand while off road at all. (Rox Risers needed).
2. Off road back wheel kept stepping out, that might be the tire (see pic).
3. On motorway the standard screen is a little too short for me so the larger one will be going on.

Overall I think she's going to serve me well, I just hope she can manage the mileage I'll putting on her.

I can see some of the essential things have been done like the clutch slave etc, but don’t forget the small holes in the bottom of the swinging are to let out the water (stop the chain adjusters seizing), the side stand relocation plate to stop the engine cases cracking when you drop it, the toggle switch to turn off the ABS (to stop it resetting itself when you stall it) and a decent sump guard. :thumb2

Glad to hear the husky is going well.

Did you jump the ktm over a slab?

Just googled, the i2i machine course so understand now.
