After picking up the new bike a couple of weeks ago I've been itching to take it out for a run. So today I braved the weather and took it for a run down through carnwath to Peebles and back up through Edinburgh.
My first impression is that it is so much smoother at low speeds than the old 2009 oil / air cooled model. Still very comfortable and agile to ride and I love the adjustable settings for power on the move. I really noticed the difference changing from normal to rain on the slippy bits.
Overall I think it's probably the best bike I've ridden as an all rounder and I love it. I can't wait to take it for a real run over several hundred miles. The only bad point I found is that it sounds terrible when sitting at the lights or at low speed. The engine sounds like there is something rattling about inside it. This changes when you get up to speed or under load, but it is a small price to pay for all that excellence.
Cheers for now, Graham.
