First Scottish Raid of 2008

Thanks for all your kind comments folks.

G.C. name your shot/shots and they're yours. I used the Nikon so the pics are quite big and detailed and should enlarge reasonably well :thumb

Can't wait until the next run :bounce1

You guys are just so lucky having that sort of scenery on your doorstep ... great report, loved the pictures.

I've never been to Scotland but its starting to look very inviting

Yir booked intae the clans so bring yir wellies

As others have said amazing photos I notice you use a nikon.
Sruggling a bit here trying to get pictures I'm happy with on my new Canon 400d with an upgraded 18 to 55 lense.

Couple of questions please did you use a wide angle & do you tend to shoot in automatic .To be honest at the moment I find it difficult to beat the automatic settings but that's me & a case of still learning.:o

Hi RR I use a D50 with the standard kit lens as recommended by Ken Rockwell, he has an interesting site here http://www.kenrockwell.com/

I tend to use it at the 28mm wide angle setting a lot for my shots as I like the effect.

I use the program settings often for speed and for most of the shots here I used the scenery program. I also used a nikon circular polarising filter in almost all of the shots.
