Go to say that I'm loving it so far. Had it's first service yesterday but hit a diesel spill on the way home causing a scraping of the cylinder head guard.

Ouch, I bet your well pissed off? Are you OK? Any other damage to the bike?

Yep, I'm waiting for a 60 plate. For the sake of a couple of weeks, it'll be worth it! I don't know if a 60 plate will be worth more than a 10 plate in 3 years time, but thought for the sake of 2 weeks, I've got nothing to lose.

Looks like the head guard done its job! Or has it damaged the cylinder head underneath? I am trying to decide whether to put cylinder head guards on or engine bars?
Hope you didn’t too much damage to the bike or yourself

I'd go for a pair of Hepco and Becker engine bars.... they look good and do a proper job of protecting the heads
