First time poster hello! Help needed with a Sync problem

Evening everyone.
First post to the forum, been watching and learning on here since I got my 2010 DOHC r1200gs about 2 months ago.
Had bikes since I was a kid, not had one for 20 years and thought I should do it before I get too decrepid.
Spot on bike, 29k miles. Needed tidying a bit but very good. Loving the ride.
Following advice on here I got the motoscan app and dongle and all was good. Did some basic stuff, all OK, then thought I should balance the throttles. This is where it went wrong.
I calibrated the idle valves, OK. Then did the park function and balanced the throttles. Then hit the stop button and the engine stumbled and died. Now don't idle, was to low.
Has anybody else had this issue, any advice ? Any assistance would be greatfully received.

idle valves ? you mean the stepper motors , that control tick over ? did you turn them back on ?

Yep turned them back on. The interesting thing is if you go through the process again and park the stepper motors it idles fine. It feels like the park process does not complete, if you know what I mean. Sent motoscan an email asking for help and no response. Was fine before I used motoscan to park the motors. Annoying.

maybe clean the throttle bodies with some carb cleaner - if all gummed up with crud might be foulded or stuck

do a re calibration of the stepper motors - doesn't do any harm

carbs are better balanced at higher revs holding the rev around 3k on the throttle cables - the screws on the throttle bodies are never meant to be touched - factory set with enough of a gap... at low revs the stepper motors can play so carb balance is silly on a closed throttle - if you tampered with these it might be you have no gap on the throttle bodies on closed throttle?

Happens quite a lot on twin cam bikes ,I’ve no idea why.
If you do a full parameter reset it sorts it out.

Your spot on. This afternoon i took it to a garage with full BMW approved diagnostic. Full system reset and back to normal.
Sent a "any news on the emails I've sent you" email, so that's 3 sent, and absolutely no response from Motoscan. That was a waste of money!
