Not done that end of the Alps yet - but I will next year. Looks a good route you took there and the firstish bit - Gorge du Verdon, is somewhere I have wanted to try since the Top Gear race between Clarkson in an Audi and the Free Climbers/Base Jumpers

Nice report, Moon, looks like you had a great time and were lucky with the weather.

I never made it that high up Galibier - the last few miles were shrouded in such thick cloud I just couldn't see where to go.

Fantastic Read.
We are hoping to do something very similar if not the same. I've got to admit my pillion also has fear of heights and i think that steep mountain has just put the spooks up her. I think she'll be fine as long as there isn't any more vehicles on the way LOL !!! -
