Fancy being camp cook?

I was thinking about that. I am waiting for the arrival of my new campervan, whose delay has possibly upset my plans for going to Berlin in April. I will be away in June for Le Mans but near enough free until the end of September. I have no idea whether fishing has a season?

I do not know of whom you speak.
However I have been fishing several times to S Uist, by bike, with my Hardy Smuggler rod aboard. This is invariably been in conjunction with others; we take a cottage and rent fishing/boats from South Uist estate. We have never fished for bass, nor caught one accidentally. There is also the South Uist Angling Club, who own boats and have fishing available
Bass have however been caught whilst sea trout fishing in Loch Eriboll at the mouth of the River Polla. Again we take a cottage and rent the fishing.
But camping? In S Uist? Hmmmm....

I do not know of whom you speak.
However I have been fishing several times to S Uist, by bike, with my Hardy Smuggler rod aboard. This is invariably been in conjunction with others; we take a cottage and rent fishing/boats from South Uist estate. We have never fished for bass, nor caught one accidentally. I stopped but didn't fish at Ard Neakie. Took a couple of pictures and headed on round to Tongue - caught bass again there just down from the road bridge and all the way down to the big sand spit at the mouth.

I think this suggestion is enough to justify my buying a travel fly rod, something missing to date.

I can’t really justify £420 for occasional use so the Shakespeare looks fine. I’ll just buy some Hardy stickers

I believe the half way point of lands end to John O’Groats is Cumbria so the border country isn’t far out
