Hi & nice work!

I am looking at fitting an aux tank to my G650x to increase range.

Out of interest, how does the button work (apart from the obvious.....) When pressed, is it switched on preset time or do you have to hold it in?
I'm hoping the main tank will syphon the fuel up. If not I'll have to fit a switch/timer.....

If its running low on fuel just hit the button. It pumps the fuel until the button is pushed again. Just have to remember to switch it off....

I've got one on my HP2.
I used it on a transafrican trip.
One problem with it is that the pump that Marcus supplied to me was not positive shut-off. Only had a check valve.
Check valves are NOT 100% shut-off.
So what happens is you have fuel going either IN or OUT when you are not expecting it: due to siphoning.
Is a big hassle to think it's full and find half empty.
BigDom in RSA had exactly the same issue.
The best thing is to get a Fawcett fuel pump that is both positive shut off and has a check valve.
It must also have enough head to pump from wherever you site it. In my case 12 inches of head. Is same size so will fit.

I can send you details of the Fawcett pumps that will work.
And if you are in UK/Europe there is a Fawcett distributer who can order one.
In general these models are not stocked here.

After I fit mine my problems were solved.

If anybody doesn't believe me and is wanting a Marcus tank I will sell them my first fuel pump half price.

I bought the automatic button/timer thing too but I think it's too complex. And there's no LED on it to tell you if it's still on or not.
So best is a simple on/off switch (wired thru a solonoid) with an LED.
If the pump goes for an extra few minutes it won't be hurt.
But at least you KNOW when it's ON or OFF.

A one way valve in the fuel line will cure this,"cheaper at £6" and will do the job fine....If the problem occures.
And im going to wire a light to the dash so i can tell if its on or off.
Givr it a try first and see if it does the job:beerjug:

Paint Code

The paint code for the HP2 Enduro is 958: Indigo Blue Metallic Pearl.
And you can buy various paints that match this thru www.rsbikepaint.com.
Input your bike info and they tell you what to buy to paint what.

But their website can be a bit confusing.
The SAME spray paint has DIFFERENT numbers depending on what top coat you intend to put on it.
But is IDENTICAL paint: I asked AFTER I bought it.
So if you want to paint a bit of frame and a bit of plastic/body then you can buy ONE can of blue paint (18046 or 1245) and then one can GLOSS and one can SATIN for top coat: depending what part it goes on.
The paint needs a top coat because it is water based and will come off unless protected.

Call them and ask before ordering just to get it sorted.
And say that this is very confusing and why don't they change that confusing part.
