I have just fitted a Remus Revolution can on my '08 R1200 GSA and I believe it drives worse!:eek
The bike has the boosterplug, and I wasn't looking for any further improvements to be honest, but I feel that I have lost all my torque below the 4000 revs.:nenau
The exhaust sounds a bit more 'farty', but that's all.

Has anybody experienced anything similar?

Is that with the baffle in or out? Conventional wisdom is that removing the baffle will give you a bit more top-end at the expense of bottom-end and mid-range whereas baffle in will give more bottom-end and mid-range but usually fitting a can alone results in very little discernible change.

agree with the above. I've a rull remus and i've put the bung back in as it does kill off the torque a bit at low rpm.

I haven't removed the baffle. It is not much louder than stock, but I feel that it pulls differently at low revs.
Is there any chance that the stock is better, or is it the fact of the different sound that psychollogicaly makes me feel that way?:hide

I had another go with the bike today. It definitely behaves differently, not in a bad way, so I got used to it.:)
I believe I will go back to the stock exhaust, I don't see the benefit of that £375 mod.

Sell the can and buy the headers. You'll get some bang from your buck and it'll sound a little better.

There are a few on here that believe the remus headers / stock can is the best overall.

or is it the fact of the different sound that psychollogicaly makes me feel that way?
If its psychological advice you need, I think you're in the wrong place:D

I put some headers on a similar bike and found exactly the same. More noise and no more grunt. I suspect the culprit is due to reduced back pressure from the more free flowing pipes. This is the reason for the exhaust valve on the newest variant. good back pressure at low revs for torque and free flowing at higher revs for power.
In the end I fitted an accelerator module on my 08 bike which was fantastic. a huge improvement, very little cost and dead easy to fit. That was one of the best mods I did. Give it a go.
