Fitted some LED sidelights to more closely match the color of the HID headlights I fitted last summer. Did some research; some said there was no ‘light out’ alarm on the side lights, others said there was… so I tested. With one side light out there was no light out indication but with both out there is! One guy had successfully fitted some LED lights from Myliteco.com these to be precise http://mylitco.com/automotive_lighting/LED-bulbs/canbus-error-free-led?product_id=314 **CanBus friendly**, so I ordered a pair at around £12 inc delivery and fitted them.
These lamps are polarity conscious so if they don’t light first try, just unplug them, turn the lamp 180deg and plug it back in, it should then light up no problem.
Although the pictures doesn’t really show it too well, the light output is very bright and close to daylight and there’s no light out indication! Success it seems...
Usual disclaimers, it wasn't me…
