Yes it is indeed Mike Narey - the head of our Aikido Federation (NAF).

Yes, many years ago, when I used to train in Norwich with the late John Tidder, Alan Prescott and Violent Mike Outten. I thought Mike N had retired and Malcolm Walder was running the NAF. I also know (or knew) Pierre Chassang.

Yes, many years ago, when I used to train in Norwich with the late John Tidder, Alan Prescott and Violent Mike Outten. I thought Mike N had retired and Malcolm Walder was running the NAF. I also know (or knew) Pierre Chassang.

Mike has been given a new lease of life since having his knees fixed. So he's still very active.
Sadly, I never had the honour of training with Pierre. I believe it was Pierre who awarded Mike his 8th Dan.
