Hi, done a search but all i could come up with was fitting instructions for the Adventure model which i guess is different to the standard GS. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide to fitting one preferably with some pics.

Thanks

It's the same. ADV cover is just bigger.

Fecking things.

I can take some photos if needed but there very simple, 4 straps at the front. One for the top (handlebars / forks area) and 2 for the rear.

Take your seat off and lay the tank cover over the tank and line up the tank logos with the windows.

The two rear straps are the only pain's (but there not that bad!)

I've threaded my ones as follows:

Left side goes over and under air intake tube and round the back of the frame tubing and back up to snap connector on cover.

Right side goes over and under plastic cover, again round the back of the frame up to the right side snap connector.

They are pretty short but do fit nicely.

Rolling the strap helps it curve round the tubing or if you've got a pair of tweezers or similar to grab the strap as you insert it behind the frame tube.

All others are just slidelock buckles which are easy. Then its just a matter of tidying up the straps!

If you need access to the battery / fuel connectors you can get away with just undoing the rear straps

Been out in all weathers all over winter and I've not had any problems with moisture etc..

The original BMW tank bag fits also with a bit of dual lock tape -

Hope this helps!

Baglux

Warm it up in front of a fan heater etc before fitting it, suples it up and makes it easier. If you have the fuel filter changed by a dealer take it off first!
must save the m a lot of time /and you cash.
