Fitting a Garmin 550 to Honda xr400?

Has anyone here fitted a Nav to a Honda XR400, no battery on the bike so would you wire into horn circuit, rear light circuit etc??
Any ideas gratefully received.

I would look at getting a battery kit first Baja Designs do one for these sort of bikes electrical systems

Take care if doing it without a battery.... Bikes' crude electrical supplies can provide some very nasty spikes, enough to kapput a GPS device's delicate circuits.
