Recently removed my scottoiler v system from my 2010 Xt 660 Tenere and want to fit it to a f800gs.

I Just need to know ( with pics if poss ) what part i require (with part number ) to connect it to the vacumn supply on the f800.

Fitting the Rmv and pipe work is straight forward its just the vacumn connection i'm unsure about.

Thanks in advance.

Gary

Can't find the box for it but i had the generic Scottoiler and there's a BMW specific part required for connecting the vacuum end.

I called up Scottoiler and they posted me the part which i think was just a different sized connector of some sort.

Scottoiler

Hi I fitted the standard scottoiler (non bike specific) kit onto mine. There's a blanking plug on the base of the airbox that you remove and I just used a short section of tube to connect the standard vacumn pipe onto the airbox. I might have had to use an infil inside the tube I can't quite remember but if you slide your hand in and pull the blanking plug off you'll see what size that is diameter wise and how your scottoiler connection will compare. If you look on you tube the whole installations on there from Scottoiler Technicians

Thanks for replys.
Did ring scottoiler today and tobe honest the Guy just wasn't interested.
He seid you need to speak to a Bmw dealer as the scottoiler kit is now only sold through the dealer network.

Anyone got a part number or a pic of the connection

Thanks Gary

I fitted the specific kit to my F650GS Twin, not at home until tomorrow but will find the paperwork for you as I think it has the relevant info for the connector.

I looks like the grey one (mine is black) but I am not sure of the diameter
if you look at the You Tube fitment video and pull the rubber bung off and measure the intenal diameter then maybe you can get the part from Scottoiler
You must have got them on a bad day I found them very helpful when I transfered the Sottoiler from my early F800gs to the 2013 model but due to the change in voltage regulator position on the later model it has to be fitted to the clutch side they sent me all the bits I needed to fit it to the clutch side I dont like I there it is hard to fill but I will persevere

Hmm, the only reference in with my kit was 'the BMW vacuum connector': no part number for it though.

Hi,

Just out of interest, if I were to buy the Universal Kit, is it the case that the inner diameter of the connecting Vacuum Damper is bigger on the BMWs? It's Part No. 4 in the Universal Kits and Part 17 on the BMW kits. ...If so, would just gently opening-up that hole with a precision drill work, drill bit or something else work? :)

Thanks.

Done it reciently to my f800gsa just ring Scott oiler and tell them you need a euro connector that is what I did it cost a £5 er I found them very helpful there is also a bolt that you replace on the chain guard they will include it in the kit. When they started supping bmw dealers with full kits they are not supposed to supply direct to the public. Hence calling it a euro connector. Nice little earner for the stealer. JJH

JJH, belated thanks for the above!!! I installed it a few months ago but didn't get round to saying thanks!

Just out of interest, does anybody know if there are any other bikes in the world where the adapter can be just plugged into the air box like on the F650 Twin rather than having to splice the vacuum pipes?

Does anyone know if this is still available on the successor F-700s? Ie same air box vacuum cover?

Cheers,
Lab. :)

Realoem shows the same airbox on all the FGS Twins
