Fitting a Starcom intercom

My Starcom unit was delivered yesterday but I can't make up my mind whether to take the diagnostic plug bracket off from under the seat and velcro / cable tie the unit down or use it from my tankbag after installing a splash proof connector in the line from the battery. I'll be using an Mp3 player, GPS and intercom.

What works for all you Starcom users?

chaps,

just been out to the garage and took the photos of my 1150gs with starcom fitted - if all goes to plan the photos should make it clear

and this one - unit is hard wired to battery, has 2x 2ft headphone extension cables (see photo) so tha when seat is on they are positioned near the rear brake reservoir. The phone/mp3 wires go under the tank to the headstock - ready to plug into tankbag installed phone and mp3 player.
