Fitting and wiring auxlights to 1200GS

Seeking any and all assistance to help me wire in a set of aux lights that I have just bought for my 1200GS. Not being an electrical buff and seeing and availing of the technical expertise available on this site can anyone appraise me of anyone that could fit a set of aux lights to my bike, which I would like to be able to use as running lights. I have the Migsel light bar fitted so its just the wirey in bit that's baffling me. I would rather pay for it to be done correctly than fluffed about by perhaps a local (albeit helpul) autospark with no idea about the bike. I'm in Newtownards, but will gladly travel, day or night.

Do I need to buy a relay, or a switch, what type and what about extra wiring? All that came with the lights was a length of single core black, I presume earthing wire.

Having experienced the power of these lights and traffic parting like Moses and the sea on a recent Wicklow trip, they can't help but increase my safety.

I wired in a set of lights just as in the previous picture. You need a beefy, fused (15A I used) supply from the battery, and I 'scotchlocked' two sensor wires from inside the headlamp assembly (from the original bulb feeds) which operate a relay each. The supply goes to one relay (a 5-connector, which flip/flops the output) which, at rest, supplies your daytime running lamps via the other relay (normal 4-connector, switched when dipped beam bulb goes on). When the main beam is selected, the 5-connector relay is energised, supplying power to your main beam lamps, at the same time denying power to the 4-connector relay and the dipped beam lamps go out (a fraction of a second before the main beam ones come on, thereby saving the fuse).

You get 3 daytime lamps and 4 lamps when on 'main'; the two auxiliary mains, the original main and the original dipped.

If there was a way I could find to send you a circuit diagram I would. I've had this set-up for about 10 months and use the bike every day. My first fuse holder corroded and stopped the lamps for a while; the second is going well.
 
Or go the HiD route and fit some Aux lights (HiD'd of course) here's one I did today:cool:
