Hi A friend has just bought a 4 month old 1200gs (Lucky B-----d I still have an 1150gs) he wants me to fit an Autocom for him.
Having read all the comments about wireing one up to the 1200 I am slightly confused . I know very little about Cambus tech knowledgeery so please bear with me .
Am I over simplyfing the job by wanting to just take a live feed from the rear light and a suitable earth.???
If that is not possable the grey/blue wire mentioned on the left of the headstock seems the easier and less problomaticle way than hard wiring into the back of the aux socket. ( not having the bike here to have a look at is there a suitable connector on this Blue/grey wire to tap into or is it best to splice into it and solder the joint.
:beerjug:

Back of the accessory socket is the place. I wouldn't wire anything to the back light if I were you, knowing the way the ABS works.

I 2nd that re the rear brake light, thats why I wired mine to the grey/blue wire to the left of the headstock, its the side/parking light feed apparently. Recommended by Autocom tech support :thumb

Don't you get any interference with mounting the Autocom above the battery, put mine there first and it buzzed
