Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this digital Vector dash system? Especially interested if anyone has fitted one to their airhead?

I'm thinking of getting one for my R80 bitza project.. as getting an acurate speedo seems to be pretty impossible! or really expensive!

Have a brand new unused Acewell 3803 looking for a new home if your interested :augie

Superior to the Vector IMPO as it has built in indicator lights for all the functions you would require :thumb

I've got a Trailtech Lynx on mine which is a previous version of the Vector and is almost indistinguishable. It might even just be a different name for a different market.
What do you want to know?

I'm interested in how easy they are to fit.. and how accurate the speedo is? I've heard they are easy to fit and accurate.. but the salesman would say that... lol.

Piece of wee-wee to fit and should be fairly accurate as well as you have to enter your wheel size when setting the unit up (also easy to do).
I must admit I don't think I have checked the speedo accuracy against the GPS speedo, sounds like an excuse for a ride later in the week. :thumb2

I have a Acewell fitted to my moded airhead....
It has proved to be reliable and has had some serious shaking about.....
It's accurate and aslong as you fit the magnetic pickup well should give years of trouble free operation

Nice looking set-up.

(hopefully it doesn't mist up in wet weather like the standard speedo :blast).

Well.. I've decided to give it a try. A friend has a brand new vapor which he doesn't need.. so a few quid has changed hands and I'll have a got at setting it up over the weekend.

Garry H - that dash looks great... Do I spy GSXR idiot lights there?

:D

Yep GSXR indeed
Took me ages to find something suitable..
But i am very happy with the result :thumb

Yes I fitted one to my Bertha. dead easy and as has been said can be got as accurate as you like as you have to enter the wheel circumference either by working it out or actually measuring it. If you get it wrong you can simply change it. In addition you can fit the engine temp lead. it also gives you a rev counter and lights for redlining as well as a load of other info.
you have to attach a magnet to the wheel and a sensor to the front fork. I did it on the left hand fork as it seemed easier than fiddling around the caliper.
I think for 70 odd squid it was a good bet and it seems to work very well. The guys at trailtech were helpful too.
If you want any more info pm me.
