I've just purchased a couple of extra LED spots for my GSA-LC, anyone know if there is a spare blank socket lurking anywhere under the front trims/panels?

Assuming that there isn't a socket, has anyone found a useful place to splice the extra spots into the loom to keep it neat.

On my GS LC there is a 7.5 amp fuse under the riders seat at the front, throttle side.
I bought a piggy back fuse, taped it all up and that was it.
Fuse is powered for one minute after the ignition is turned off, so perfect for getting out of the garage in the dark.

Did the same as Gargy - just check that you have the correct cable with a multi meter - one of them stays live permanently! I think it was striped cables that were switched!

Took it off the back of the aux power by the clocks... Same as the others stays live for 60 seconds, handy

Which spot you ordered? Pics? I like the Touratech ones.

I found these after a lot of searching, a bargain, I've seen the very same lamps for three times this price, I actually ordered the floods cos they were a bit cheaper and I wanted to test the quality of the lamp, also I bought them to be seen...not to see where I'm going as I very rarely drive at night and I thought that the floods might work better for others to see me coming.

They are a very solid construction with a cast alloy case that has some weight to it, a great buy.

I have had a local retired engineer make make some really neat mounting brackets that fit the lamp straight onto the GSA top engine bar tube end, they look very tidy when mounted, I don't know how to post photos but I'd be more than happy to email you some photos, the brackets are so brilliant I ought to be manufacturing them.

I haven't wired them in yet but that won't be long, I think that I will splice them into the existing spotlamp loom using soldered joints and heat shrink sleeve where possible. :thumb

They look like a cheaper version of the BikeVis Cree LED Aux lights... I put a pair of the fogs on my GTR1400. They corroded quite a bit around the body but they were plenty bright.
