I have a full size left hand pannier to fit to my 1150GS. The exhaust is no problem, as I have carried out the can removal mod and replaced the cat (seems to go like greased weasel stuff!). I offered up the pannier, and as expected the lower locating stubby thing is in the wrong place. The existing mount also fouls and prevents the box from sitting properly on the rail. I know many of you have done this-is there a replcement mount available? It seems to incorporate the pillion footpeg as well. I don't really want to start cutting things about, in case I ever want to put it back to standard.
