Fitting my 3rd LC screen

While under warranty I had my screen replaced due to cracks appearing around the mount points.
Now it's out of warranty and the replacement has gone the same way.

I've now got a GSA screen in the hope that it's stronger, but wondered if there's anything I can do to help?
I've just added some silicone paste to the mounting brackets where they contact the rubber grommets in the hope that it will allow some flex.

18,000 miles on my GSA and no issues. What are you using to clean it??

I have the tinted screen on mine which has cracks around the left side mounting holes. I drilled 1mm holes at the end of the cracks to stop them getting bigger-- 2000 miles later and they arent getting any bigger so its fair to say its worked.
Not sure how to stop it happening in the first place though.. on mine it is only on one side which makes me think its due to overtightening on installation rather than an inherent weakness in the screen.
No warranty on mine so its got to be fixed or have money thrown at it.. probably going to get some carbon effect vinyl to cover the affected area--- should be almost invisible due to the dark tint.

No cracking on any of my screens ever, that's 1 GS and 5 GSA's, maybe mark hooten's brackets may help you tho

I had this issue on my 2013 GS replaced it then I've had 2 GSA since with no probs on them,

I have had mine replaced twice (no surprise) I just keep the screen in the lower position, convinced that on the highest position and making progress cause stress cracks due to the increased height putting more pressure on the moutings.

Probably talking b*llox but my replacement screen seems to be ok so far.

Dealer should supply new parts as they're the only ones available now. It's bushes and screws.

My third screen had rubber washers to hold the screen in flex in an 18mm hole. No cracking - these are the "new" screens that don't break.

No cracks on any of my screens, maybe I have the new version.

All the new screens have the new fittings. Got mine from Alan Jeffries.
