fitting twin bates headlamps to r1100gs.mods?

i intend fitting twin bates headlamps to my gs but not been electrically minded,can i just wire them up to the original wiring? OR DO I NEED TO FIT RELAYS? FUSES?:nenau etc so as not to burn my switches out. any advice greatly accepted:thumb2
