My 08 12GSA has been sat in the garage for the last few days, I parked it up after riding a few days in the crappy weather we have been having recently and I've not got around to washing it yet. Looking at the spokes of the rear wheel I can see some salt encrustation along the spokes. Where the spokes enter the wheel rim I noticed what looked like 'spit' and I'm wondering what this could be. Could this be a reaction of the spoke metal with the wheel rim and salt and be the beginnings of corrosion? If so, it looks like a chemistry lab reaction in the making :eek:

Has anyone else noticed this? I know that the bike should be washed to get rid of the salt, but even so......

Even T Cut wouldn't shift it from the black anodising

Looked crap:mad:

I had a very similar experience, Garaged my bike after a ride but didn't wash it, noticed salt corrosion on back of ali box - nothing removed it - wake up call for me - now using ACF50 on everything - O and not to mention I'm leaving mine in the garage for a while now as I only ride for pleasure just to get past this salty period.
