I feel sure I will get the michael extracted for asking this but here goes....as I broaden my horizons, I'd really like to jazz up my new panniers with those little flag stickers to advertise to the world what a roughy toughy explorer I am. So, where is best place to buy a pack of good quality vinyl european flag stickers ? There are lots of said packs on Amazon but it's hard to really figure out if they are suitable for sticking on panniers/car bumpers.

Where do folks get their stickers from ?

I always tried to leave it until I was at the actual place to buy the sticker.
It wasn’t always possible to buy a countries flag sticker whilst there so the internet had to do…no particular supplier but obviously try to buy weatherproof stickers as disappointment arrives quickly if they’re indoor ones.

A note of caution:- I probably spent hundreds on stickers for my F800GS which all went with the bike when I sold it…Bugger!

I went to a high street printers and gave them my own Ai designed badges, stickers where made from my unique Jepg - PDF file.

I wanted something different than world maps on panniers most go for, so "Service Graphics" were extremely helpful with a few choices of printed sheet paper and the quality, combined with long lasting strong sticky backing.

The material I used is for use on offshore containers, Heli-fuel tanks etc. have to be good to withstand treatment as you can image that they face daily. Min. order of £30.00 but all depends on sizes required and amount.

Here is a little taster for you, from Ai.

I’m pretty sure the whole point is to buy the sticker in the country that you visit , rather than buy a batch off Amazon to make out that you’ve been there !!

Like these we saw in the Vercors last week

Don't whatever you do put the British flag on your panniers/top box.
People will think you're a racist.

What’s the approved etiquette when buying a secondhand bike, with stickers from the previous owner? Should it be looked on as:

A mark of authenticity, like the patina on an antique?

A scurrilous fraud?

Etiquette is to draw a line between all flagged places on a map.

A simple and cost effective means of ensuring the mileage is accurate

i got some Verns , that had hand written record of where they had been .
i um'd and ar'd , about removing them . previous owner , said he had pictures of them all , and the boxes were now mine .
stopped at Motorworks , on the way to Scotland , parts man asked if i had done all that , i replied , No , and i'm in 2 minds to keep or erase them.
they got erased.
i never sticker my bikes .

Are you suggesting they haven't visited all 50 countries (on their bikes) represented by those flags? :ROFLMAO:

Perhaps you buy the sheet of flags, and apply them after you’ve visited….keeping the rest safe at home in your sock drawer…

The reality is….. no one really cares do they… it’s a personal choice…

I only ever have one sticker on my bike… a rather select and precious group…. Who it identifies …..

When I sell a bike I remove it…

I’ve got one of those .Fuck knows where it is

you need to go to PLACES , and get the sticker from the PLACE not the country.
places generally don't sell stickers for the other village down the road ... just their village.
like rally badges .
