any adfvioce help appreciated
thanks
sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

Try cleaning the sensors at the wheels and make sure the holes in the rings aren't mostly blocked up with crud. Then check the sensor/ring clearance.

Are the brakes working as usual or are you getting residual braking? (This is a largely imaginary braking force dreamt up by BMW as it sounds better than 75% brake failure.)

And check the brake fluid level. It will trigger a fault if too low.

Rear burnt stop light will also trigger a fault with the ABS

Which light/s started winking, and how fast?

4 times a second, twice a second, alternating?

Did you ride, turn the bike off then turn it on again to see what happened?

Chances are, your battery is getting weaker and didn't have enough juice to run the self test........if you'd stopped after 15 mins, turned on and started up/pulled away again, it would probably go out if it's that.

More detail needed:thumb2

(PS you couldn't have searched very hard :nenau)

thanks

battery new, servo still souds like working when brakes on, brakes stop wheel turning, flashing probably 4 times ,brake light fine. fingers crossed may just be sensors i hope .

Top light or bottom light? 1hz or 4hz? other light doing anything? there's a couple of pages of diagnosis in the handbook.

Did it happen when you turned the bike on with one of the brakes held on? That upsets the start-up self-test but mine sorts itself out when the brake is released.

sorted i think

well brakes servo seem to be working fine , cleaned bike and hopefully any gunge around brake area fingers crossed
thanks
