Flat Spot

Hi - Can anyone help ?

My R1150GS has a huge flat spot between 4000 and 5000 rpm and is really rough after that.

It's smooth and powerfull between 3000 and 4000 which was where I tended to use it up until I went touring last week

I think is normal but it may depends in which gear it is.
I dont rely go up more than 5500rpm and I steel rich 100mph which I think is very good.

Hmmmmmm

the ton would be good ! - in top the flat spot is betwen 80 and 100, I only really found the problem on the French dual carriageways where it doesn't ant to hold a spedd over 80mph and also when I drop it into 5th to make an overtake it just doesnt seem to want to go which can be more than a little concerning.
