So after 2 weeks in the shed the bike was out today to take me to work. 100 yards up the street steering was odd then the red triangle kicked in. To be fair the TPS needs a few yards to get going. So turn bike around, wobbled back home and used the car.

Usually it's a back tyre that finds a nail or whatever. This is probably the first flat front tyre I've had in - frankly - I've no idea how many years. No time to find out if it's a puncture or a valve issue.

A front flat ??????

I would contact the media - possibly a world first

I have never had one in 30+ years !

What are you moaning about, it's only flat at the bottom!!.

And it improves the tread contact area.

I dunno, the tyre was recently taken off (<500 miles ago) to replace the pressure sensor battery so maybe the sensor has gone t*tsup. But as @JonnyBravo says its ridiculously rare. Maybe it's because I push the bike backwards into the garage. :nenau

Tyre looks fine. Soapy water on the valve stem shows a leak at the rim. Hopefully the tyre fitter hasn't screwed up the O-ring. Taking it back to get the valve refitted.

I had the exact same problem after a tyre replacement; i just nipped the nut up a bit and all was good again.

Didn't work this time. It probably needs a new O ring so tyre removed and valve sealed with flexible acrylic. I'll get new seals for when the tyre is changed.

I don’t remember ever having a front puncture on any motorbike and very rarely on a pushbike. Rear tyres however .....
