Wish you a speedy recovery Dazco,
There was a documentry some time back about a Lady who crashed her HD on the M20 coming back from the tunnel, she was wearing an open face helmet.
I did not watch it all horrific.

yuk!

Mate that looks really nasty. The good news is that you have prob just saved me about 250 as was considering chopping my arai for a flip. Will give it some serious thought now though. Oh and leave all those young nurses alone!..... wel maybe not all of them!

Nasty. Hope you get better soon!!! You have however confirmed my long held suspicions re. flip top lids.

ISTR ...

... that when 'flip-front' helmets were introduced you could commit the offence of 'riding without a properly secured helmet' if the chin bar wasn't locked down. Things may have changed now, as I've seen our traffic bikers riding chin up :nenau

Get well soon, and no salty snacks for a while:thumb

Get well soon.

Any pics of the helmet and a better description of what happened in regards to the helmet?

When you feel up to it.:thumb

TA. Take it easy.

I have the helmet and Bike in my Garage,so I will take some pic's tomorrow and post them

Dazzer

Use to use my Caberg daily

Think I may just chuck the Caberg away after seeing that! QUOTE]

SO IT WAS YOU WHO NICKED MY CABERG FROM THE WINDMILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit that anything over 10 mph normally gets the chin bar down - if they were so "unsafe" then would the boys in blue be using them :nenau

Oy! Get well soon, mate!

I'm curious to learn what helmet he was wearing, as some helmets that appear to be flip-front are only guaranteed by the mfg to perform as a jet helmet; the chin-bar being considered an aesthetic part.

Whatever the case is, heal well!

Bohdan
