Fair enough. I’ve always been OCD with cleaning my bikes from day one. Not suggesting that you neglect your bike for a minute, but with a blank canvas it really is easy (IME) to clean it quickly.

I have Michelin tires fitted and they are no better in this respect than the original Anakees. I echo your comparison with a 2011 twin cam. I think that there is more to the changes to the back end than simply the reversal of the layout. Everything seems more closed in and closer together. The efforts to protect the rear shock absorber by extending the front of mudguard downwards and the small shield fitted to the bottom of the same, may be causing low pressure that eddies spray in that area. The end result could be that dirt no longer gets blown away.
The twin cams don’t have that mud guard extension and seem to keep cleaner in the area around the exhaust valve.

In summary to avoid you having to read the entire thread is:
• No, there is nothing you can do about the crap on the bike, live with it.
• Use ACF50 at the beginning of winter & wash it down with a hose / jet wash
• Or use FS365 every time you wash it.
• Use a neutral foam that smells like lemon
• Don’t bother with Nano coating
• Tyre type doesn’t matter
• It takes from 1 hour to half a day to clean it properly
• Remove the mudguard thingy at the back.
• Ride it and don’t worry
• Or leave it in the garage and ride a Honda (I had one of those before)

I use Oil of Olay 7 in 1.
Amazing soft skin and I look years younger around the bollocks. All the wrinkles are gone but it stings a bit.
Just dont use a jet washer to get it off.
Frame infill panels will stop the crap being thrown over the rider/pillion.
Good suggestion ... but do they not make it more difficult to get into the space behind for cleaning?

Mine gets cleaned 4 times a year, whether it needs it or not...
It’s pity there wasn’t a willing group of visitors to the UK - legal or otherwise - waiting to give Bikes a good clean as there is for cars. Sorry did I say ‘good clean’. ...... you know what I mean
