A pal of mine and my self picked up a 2012 1200gs each.
Both delivered to the dealer on the same day. His has a bit of foam in the brake res but mine does not. I asked the dealer and they have been unable to come up with an answer why but apparently BMW say if it has one it needs changing when the fluid is changed but if it doesnt then don't bother.
I had a look round the showroom and some had it and some didn't.
I know its to do with reducing bubbles in the res, can anyone shed any light on why his does and mine doesn't ?

The sponge man was at lunch when your bike was assembled.

I have a 2011 bike and mine has the foam, changed it as per the 6,000 mile service it costs around £8.00! Anyway i was told it's no longer used from 2012 so maybe i should not have bothered!

Apparently it's supposed to stop air bubbles forming in the fluid when your jumping that huge hillock like you do:D
