Can anyone suggest a good one for my specific needs?
Quite specific requirements:
I have two laptops, both have an External HDD.
I have one or two folders/files on these HDD's that require proper time/content stamp sync for which I can use Windows Synctoy or similar so no problem there.
BUT
I get into trouble when I need to sync the My Music folder between the two external HDD's I have. As I add new albums to either setup I want the sync software to spot it and copy the new stuff to whichever drive doesn't have the new content. Sounds easy! But all the software I have tried so far uses the timestamp or file data content to recognise if data needs updating. So although it knows there is new data (eg. "my new album") on one disc that needs adding to the other it ALSO wants to update anything with slight variations in time stamp or content. For some reason Media player changes these attributes when you play stuff so this flags up as a change that the sync software picks up on. So it thinks the whole My music folder needs copying across, that's about 100GB!
ALL I want it to do is say "Aha! there's a new album on disc_1, I'll copy that to disc_2"
Job done!
Any ideas super techies?
TIA
