Anyone got any suggestions for lowering 1200GS footpegs without major engineering or expense? I'm trying to get a bit more legroom without changing the seat (standard on high setting). Ideally I want to fit something that doesn't have the raise of the standard pegs.

I can recomend the Fastway footpegs they lower the pegs just over half and inch, but for you I'm not sure, 6ft 4 could be a problem :D
it may be cheaper to have your legs cut down :D :D

I'm 6ft 4" and they worked for me. However you then need boots with toe sliders:D

The Touratech pegs are neat but the purpose of my posting was to hopefully find somethong just a little more affordable (USD142 plus shipping and import charges is a fair few beer tokens). Also, I'm 6' 6", not just 6'4".

6'6" you must sitting on the back seat and still too big for the bike... Have you considered getting these things you see on harley's leg rests for mega long straight roads? Actually forget that your legs a be sticking way past the front wheel....

speak to the touratech bloke they've got everything else must have something to fit or suit.

Another vote for the Fastways, excellent product and gives enough adjustment to improve rider comfort. :thumb

The stock gear lever does not allow much alteration but Touratech do an adjustable lever if it's needed.

Having now found a Fastway suplier, it looks like these were the ones that set me off searching for something better than standard. Better looking and cheaper than Touratech. Thanks for the advice.

Cheers
