footpeg vibes

On my last few rides out my 02 1150 has started to get vibes through the footpegs when you come of the throttle, but no vibes on acereration.Feels like a bearing going but no play in anything.Does it in all gears and at all speeds so don't think it is gearbox.Anyone had anything similar.oil levels ok will drain at weekend and look for clues.

Have you got part worn Tourances on the bike;and does the vibration feel different when leaning into corners?.

yes bike is fitted with tourances only get vibes on closing throtle using engine braking it is same when leaning bike over.but you don't lean a bike much on a closed throtle

Part worn Tourances had me looking all over the bike for faults, they can set up all kinds of strange vibrations reminiscent of full knobblies, collapsing big bearings and other mechanical malaises we can study here on this forum.

read my post earlier this week entitled 'rumbling rear end' exactly the same symptoms. I reckon it's a tyre issue.

Yep my Tourances cause vibrations especially when cornering as the tread pattern is so spread on the edges..... you can hear it when cornering

Hi... I'm with everyone else so far

I've got tourances on my 02 1150GS.. And it vibes through the pegs when slightly lent over.. or at certain speeds.

With my GS being the first BM and first bike of its type I've owned the tyres had me searching for rumbling bearings/worn drive shafts etc etc... Then I borrowed a set of wheels with road tyres on and all was smooth!

Hope after you've checked the oils its turns out to be just the good old tourance vibes!
