footrest lowering kits advice

I am very much enjoying the bike (a 2012 K1600GT) but after 2.5K miles I just have to accept the footrest to seat dimension is too tight for my arthritic old knees. I was fine on my previous GSA with the seat in the high position so have decided to investigate footrest lowering kits and am looking for advice on the topic.

Any helpful; suggestions gratefully received
