What did you do about covering the positive terminal on the battery?

Any bike batteries I've come across had some sort of rubber or plastic cover for the positive terminal - I presume to avoid any sort of contact with other parts of the bike (ie - if a piece of wire or a nail ended up connecting the +ve to the metal tank).

Do people just leave it, cover with gaffer tape, electrical tape etc?

I have a load of rubber battery terminal boots in a box at home mate robbed... i mean borrowed ... from when i worked at caterpillar

What does the oddysey terminal look like?

If itll fit ill pop one in an envelope for you.

Better than a bodge with some tape.

I just cut out a bit of old innertube and lay that over the battery.

Can't you reuse the one from the old battery?

Left it uncovered, apart from a good smear of silicone grease. It seems to be OK because the odessey battery electrodes do not protrude as much as the OEM.
