Fork brace

kenny,did someone do the measure for you?
i thought you wanted the original type brace not the micron /ultimate source type.

i had seen some stainless folded one somewhere for sale?
but is simply a folded piece ,i think with gs letters laser cut into it.
can you not get the original ordered from bmw? i thought they were about seventy pounds.

Colt, I was asking just to see if anyone had an original fork brace..I'll wait a few weeks before buying any type of new one...well old ones ( unless dunked in rivers etc by the likes of yourself ) don't seem to wear out. I may even get ( beg/blow) Vern to fabricate one for me I can't change to much as the previous owner will disembowel me after all the hard work he has put into it ( and believe me, he HAS put a lot of work into it !!)

sounds like you have a great machine there,dont think mine could compare.
perhaps 2gses bike is more like it or cbi's rebuild.

Looks thin doesn't it ? My g/s will be staying the winter at Verns (as he is also using it as a template for his excellant panniers)
so I may well ask/demand/beg him to see if one can be fabricated.
