Hello! I buy new Wilbers front springs on -91 paralever. What is the right way measure oil capasity? BMW service book gives 0.47 liter both of. Wilbers catalog gives 160 mm both them. (measured fron up, spring removed and tube is push shorty) I change oil at last season and I put that 0.47 liter in. Now when I open spring caps, level left is 90mm and right is 160mm. What that means?? Sorry my bad english but I hope you understand my problem.

Best regards: Ileumi

If the leg(s) are off the bike, fill oil to 160mm from the top of the tube... before you inset the spring. Put in about half the oil and give the leg a couple of pumps to fill the valve with oil, then continue to the 160mm mark with the leg and full extension.

You have a leak or it was not correct last time it was filled;)
