Just checked my bike in for the inspection, when I bought it new, I asked about fork recall, seller said all bikes on shop floor had been done, well apparently not, tomorrow I get the forks done, just going out now for a 100km ride, a bit of sun, hope the bike does not self destruct. :beerjug:

They must have sold you their old stock instead of a properly new one :)

Its Euro 4 2017 version, got it in August, I thought all new Euro 4,s had already been sorted, maybe this is another recall, the plot thickens.

Worry ye not. My Euro 4 bought early last year got done under recall back in November when my local dealer first got the bits. Shed loads of folk here were still outstanding then. Some people worked quite hard to be outraged at BMW, maybe still are doing, but I don't think any pragmatists paid dearly for their patience. Hope you enjoyed your ride as much as I enjoyed Dartmoor today!

Yep cheers great ride good fun, nice break in the weather before the shite returns this week-end, and bike did not self destruct, actually just seen what they do on Youtube, but I do not do mad offroad so I think even with my setup as it is I would not be at risk, also mudguard extender is awesome from Nippy,s graet tip, you cost me cash again. :beerjug:

Bought mine in July - no recall, fresh off the boat. if you do a VIN check it tells you its birth day (Production Date 2017-07-12) cute eh?

They are different, no collars.

I meant "oops" for costing you money, not for the typo! :)

:D So little report, back home service done, Fork recall done, new collars on stanctions, seen the new bikes with no collars, I actually like the collars more of a solid feeling "just personal" and just a bit of TOP SECRET info for the forum, do not repeat or uncle Vlad will be around, the new VVT GS1200 with about 145 bhp will be in the dealers in Germany in October 2018, so Engineer get your wallet ready..............

I’ll wait until the early adopters have done the beta testing and then get the first proper update with all the fixes in 3 years :)
