Not a problem i've had before. When I took off the dust cover I found what seemed like dirty and slightly gritty water. I cleaned it up and carefully removed some dirt from under the seal. It now seems OK, but I suppose I'll have to drain the oil and see what state it is in. Surprising that water could get in past the dust cover, which was tight.

The leak started after I had been through a wide river. Not too deep, but I did make quite an enjoyable amount of spray. There's a video of the ford here - not me, I went through quite a lot faster and maybe a bit recklessly.

Great fun Fords.

I’ve done Furneaux Pelham which is allegedly the longest Ford in the UK.

Up over the carbs in places. Keep those revs up 😉

Nice. Convenient way to wash the bike.

I did once get water in the gearbox. When the oil filler was opened white emulsified oil spurted out. No harm done.

Of course the reason is the GS can do it. Amazing bike. Built for the trails, not for just looking pretty.
