Anyone in Dublin have a new fork seal for a 2000 R1150GS. I have one on order with Joe Duffy but it won't be in until Tuesday and can give you that one in return.

Hi marcopol, sorry I can't help you but I need one myself and was wondering what it cost you and if you plan on fitting yourself?

Thanks

I got them from Joe Duffy, got a lot of parts from him as I also had to replace the rear crown bearing but I think it was about €15 or thereabouts. Yes I fitted it myself, took about 10 minutes. Surprisingly enough I also fitted the rear crown and tapered bearings successfully also. If you need to do your's I still have one seal and washer as spares if you need to order one from them and cant wait for them to get it in.

Oh excellent, I'll try do it myself so. I'm not in a hurry for them but if you want to sell your spare one I'll take it of you, no problem either way.

Thanks for the reply

Seal

No I will hang on to the spare one. Use Steptoe's guide to do the work. Incidentally I found a nice tool to remove the seal from the fork, a C-Spanner used to adjust suspension settings on other bikes.

Cheers, will order one and try find that guide.. and thanks for the tip on the c-spanner..

get the size and go into m50 honda they have fair selection. got my last 1150gs seals off them
