My brother in law mentioned this to me earlier in the year, unfortunately I can't make that weekend.
Apparently a very good day out with a lot of 'survivor' cars - things that never really became collectable as they were just too 'average'... thinking of (e.g) the ford Capri - lots of people want the 3.0L, or the 2.8i, but who would think 'I know.... a 1.6Laser.... that's the car for me!'.
A show full of base spec cars - Austin Maestro 1.3, Ford Orion 1.6L, Vauxhall Nova 1.0 Saloon and the like.... a true 'nostalgia' day out... looking at cars that were only really ever thought of as 'transport'.

If I still had them, my (1st gen) Nissan Almera, or the family Nissan Sunny that preceded it would probably have been very much 'at home', as would my friends Vauxhall Belmont or Rover 213....... but that's the point, we don't still have them, and they were never worth spending money on to restore....

I'd love to still have my old Renault 12TL - a real PoS which I struggled to keep going on a shoestring but so many memories....

yes indeed I wish I had a couple of my old rotters , I was never into cars so I had a lovely dark brown princess and gold vauxhall viva along with an old fiat panda and 2cv. oh I had a cavalier SR too and a rather slow old 230TE merc . I had fun in all of them to be fair but I guess you have fun when you're young whatever you have.

Saw it advertised last year but seemed pricey for a day ticket for what it was

I like the old mundane stuff as much as seeing something flash from back in the day.
FOTU ...That's a weekly occurrence at my local car park on market day. Loads of 70s and 80s cars...looking highly likely to be with their first owners...rural SW France.
Here's a neighbours 3 cars...Lada Niva 4 x 4 c 1980, Dacia Duster c 2022, Renault 4 c 1975
