Frame Protector Strip

After a fruitless google search, I thought I'd ask here.

I've got Adventure Spec crash bars on my F800GS which are plastic coated. I'd like to buy some adhesive strip for these, ideally quite thick and profiled like the crash bars, to protect the plastic coating in case of a spill. I've seen something similar designed for the chainstays of mountain bikes, but nothing motorcycle specific.

Has anyone seen these for sale?

on e-bay i have seen this tape ,clear and really strong ,like you mentioned on the rear of chain stays. not expensive either . can't remember where i seen ,but definate e-bay.
