Hey guys,

I've done a search for this and haven't found a direct answer. I've noticed a few frame chips I want to touch up. Does BMW do touch up paint for this or is there a good alternative that anyone has used?

Thanks in advance,

No, I've try'd hammerite paint & spray. They all get worn off eventually bud. Engine also is baked on paint finish, so once its chipped that's it...

I've seen plastic clear strips on the side area of the frame where your legs rub against.

Yes, I've bought some clear, adhesive backed 'scuff' tape that I will apply to the frame where my legs/boots/zips make contact, since it's starting to wear. It's inexpensive, and I will likely re-apply the tape twice per year.
Cheers

On the 800 I previously used Plastikote satin black and that worked fine. In blended in nicely.

I've been painting a Honda recently and used another product called PJ1 and that is so good I started using it on the frame also. The Honda was originally gloss black but I preferred the satin finish. The Honda engine was originally silver. The PJ1 goes on very well without the need for a primer and is very directional. Very little over spray which negates the need for too much masking off.
